Troubleshooting WebSphere Commerce Analyzer: A step fails after initial replication and ETL

If a step fails after initial replication and ETL, follow these steps to prevent possible data inconsistency in the WebSphere Commerce Analyzer data mart.

  1. Determine which step failed and see details about the error. For more information see the log in WCA_installdir/logs.
  2. Identify the problem and take the proper measures to correct the problem. Contact the IBM Technical Support team if you cannot fix the problem. You must stop scheduled replication and ETL until the problem is fixed. Once the problem is fixed, finish step 3 before scheduled replication and ETL can be turned on again.
  3. After the problem is corrected, manually start the extraction process from the failed step to finish all of the unfinished steps in the extraction sequence. See A step fails during initial replication and ETL for instructions to restart a failed step.
  4. Reschedule replication and ETL if you stopped it in step 2. Refer to Scheduling replication and ETL.
