
What's new in IBM MQ Version 9.0.5
IBM MQ Version 9.0.5 delivers a number of new and enhanced features on AIX , Linux , Windows, and z/OSĀ®.
The individual features provided by a CD release are stand-alone functions but may increase in capability in subsequent CD releases, enhancing earlier CD features and forming a suite of related capabilities.
New support for IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service
The IBM MQ on IBM Cloud Private container image is now supported for use in the IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service on IBM Cloud. For more information, see Add an IBM MQ image into a IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service cluster.
New IBM MQ for Multiplatforms features
The following new features are available with both IBM MQ base product entitlement, and with IBM MQ Advanced entitlement:- Further enhancements to the REST API - View channels and run mqsc commands on a remote queue manager
- Improvements to error logging
- Improved performance for non-transacted persistent put operations
- New method for LDAP authorization
- AMQP service starting by default
- IBM MQ custom channel for WCF enabled for send replying messages in MQSTR format
The following new features are available only with IBM MQ Advanced entitlement:
- Disaster recovery replicated data queue managers (DR RDQMs)
- New queue manager attribute for identifying IBM MQ Advanced entitlement
- Further enhancements to the REST API - Managed file transfer support
- New fteListMonitors parameter for bulk backing up of MFT resource monitors
- Ability to use colon separated lists of trace specifications in certain Managed File Transfer Logger commands
New IBM MQ for z/OS features
The following new feature is available both with IBM MQ for z/OS base product entitlement, and with IBM MQ Advanced for z/OS or IBM MQ Advanced for z/OS, Value Unit Edition entitlement:- Further enhancements to the REST API - View channels and run mqsc commands on a remote queue manager
- Further enhancements to the REST API - Managed file transfer support
- New fteListMonitors parameter for bulk backing up of MFT resource monitors
- Ability to use colon separated lists of trace specifications in certain Managed File Transfer Logger commands
The following new features are available only with IBM MQ Advanced for z/OS, Value Unit Edition entitlement:
