Work with processes in Process Portal
Processes define the flow of tasks that are needed to get work done. Using Process Portal, you can launch processes, post comments about the process and its tasks, follow the work and comments on a process, view the audit data, and determine and modify the process path.
Procedure
The following table summarizes the actions that you can take on a process if you are authorized to perform the action.
Actions that you can take on a process Action How you do it Start the workflow for a process. Select Work > My Tasks. In the Launch tab to the right of the tasks list, select a process. Post a comment or see the comments that have been posted to the current process. Select Work > My Tasks, and then open a task. The Stream tab to the right of the task form shows the comments. You can also post your comments here. Alternatively, if you are following a process, you can see the Stream tab by clicking on a process in the list on the Following tab.
Follow the work on a process. On the Details tab for the process, click the Follow icon ( ). The process is then available in the list on the Following tab.
Change the due date for the process. On the Details tab for the process, click the down arrow to the right of the process name, and select Change Due Date from the list of actions. View the audit data for a process. On the Details tab for the process, click the down arrow to the right of the process name, and select View Audit History from the list of actions. Determine and modify the process path. On the Details tab for the process, click the down arrow to the right of the process name, and select Critical Path Management from the list of actions. View the performance of a process. On the Dashboards page, click the down arrow, and select Process Performance from the list of available dashboards.

The Stream tab enables you to see at a glance the updates to work and the posts that have been made to a specific process. You can subscribe to the stream for specific processes by following the process.- Auditing process data

A process can have several routes or paths that can be used to complete a process. The time needed to complete each path depends on how long it takes users to perform each task along the path. You can use the critical path management tool to determine and modify the process path.
