User-->General
Overview
Use this page to add users to an Authentication provider. The WebLogic Server Administration Console detects when an Authentication provider implements the UserEditor MBean and automatically loads user information into the provider. The Provider column indicates the Authentication provider in which the user is defined.
Users are entities that can be authenticated in a security realm (such as myrealm). A user can be a person or a software entity, such as a Java client. Each user is given a unique identity within the security realm. The minimum password length for users is 8 characters. As a system administrator, guarantee that no two users in the same system have the same name. For more efficient management, BEA recommends adding users to groups.
Note: Users and groups must have unique names.
If you have a large number of users, use the Filter By field to retrieve and list only the users that match your search criteria. The Filter By field uses the asterisk (*) as the wildcard character.
All the users defined for a security realm are listed in the User table on the Users page. If a user account becomes locked, a Details link appears in the User table. The Details page describes the security violation for the user. For more information, see Unlocking a User Account.
