Change HTTP recording preferences

  1. Open the RPT HTTP Recording page:

      Window | Preferences | Test | RPT HTTP Recording

  2. Select the setting to change.

    Application to record Select the browser to use for recording from the list.

    On Windows systems, the default is Internet Explorer. On Linux systems, the default is Firefox.

    When recording, the browser is started and configured for recording. When you stop recording, the browser is reset for browsing.

    You can also select Mozilla and then set the path for the browser executable.

    If you use none of the above browsers, for your browser...

    1. Set the default application to None
    2. Configure your browser to use a socks proxy
    Application Path For browsers other than IE, set the path for the browser executable.
    Verify annotation toolbar is installed before recording Click to install the annotation toolbar.
    Proxy Recorder Local Port Listener port to use for HTTP recording.
    Record using IPv6 By default, this box is unchecked.

  3. After changing a setting, click Apply.
