What to do next
- Functional test logs
After playback finishes, you can view results in the log. Results include any logged events, such as verification point failures, script exceptions, object recognition warnings, and any additional playback information.- View results in the log
You can set the log preferences to view a log from Rational Functional Tester or from the Test Log window of Rational TestManager. You can view, rename, or delete a log from the Functional Tester Projects view.- Logging page
You use the Logging page to set log and comparator options, such as preventing the script launch wizard from displaying on playback, displaying the log viewer after playback, and displaying a message before overwriting an existing log. You also use this page to indicate the type of log generated.- Managed logs and Rational TestManager
When you create a Functional Tester project, you can use the project separately, or associate it with a Rational project to take advantage of the integration features with TestManager.- Log Extension
You can create customized functional tester logs in addition to the standard log formats: text, HTML, TestManager, Test and Performance Tools Platform (TPTP), and XML. You can use the customized logs to view your playback results.
