Adjusting an image object's color tone
You can change the saturation, color balance, and brightness of an image object such as a photographic image taken by a digital camera.
To adjust an image object's color tone:
- Select an image object on the canvas or Object stack.
- Select Tools > Color Tone.
- You can now adjust the following:
- Saturation - Adjusts the color saturation. Use the image in the center to preview the settings. Click the Light thumbnail for a light saturation and click the Dark thumbnail for a dark saturation. Continue clicking the thumbnails repeatedly until you are satisfied with the color saturation.
- Color balance - Adjusts the color balance. Use the image in the center to preview the settings. Click one of the thumbnails that surround the center to adjust the colors accordingly. Continue clicking the thumbnails repeatedly until you are satisfied with the color balance.
- Brightness - Adjusts the level of brightness. Use the image in the center to preview the settings. Click the Bright thumbnail for to make your image brighter and the Dark thumbnail to make your image darker. Continue clicking the thumbnails repeatedly until you are satisfied with the level of brightness.
- You can select the Preview box to preview your image in the Object stack and the Similar colors check box to produce a uniform color tone. .
- When you are finished adjusting the color tone, click OK. If you want to start over, click Reset
