Syndication
Syndication is used to transport data from one instance of IBM Lotus Web Content Management to another.
- Set up a syndication relationship
To set up syndication between libraries on two IBM Lotus Web Content Management applications, establish a relationship between a syndicator on the server containing the data to be replicated and a subscriber on the server that will receive the replicated data.
- Syndicator fields
The syndicator view is used to enter details of the server subscribing to the syndicator, and display subscription and syndication information.
- Subscriber fields
This subscriber view is used to enter details of the syndicator that is being subscribed to, and display subscription and syndication information.
- Manually syndicating items
Although you can configure syndication to run automatically, from time to time you may need to manually update syndication.
- Work with pending items
After you set up a syndication relationship, you can monitor pending items on a syndicator and manually syndicate those items. Pending items are items that have been updated on the syndicator since the last syndication occurred.
- Work with failed items
From time to time items will fail to syndicate. Use the failed items view to review a list of failed items and then retry syndication once you have fixed the issue.
- Monitoring syndication
After you set up a syndication relationship, you can monitor the progress of the data replication between syndicators and subscribers for details such as whether syndication was successful, when it occurred, and how many changes were included.
