Set up a remote Web Content Viewer
To display Web content on a portal where Web Content Management is not installed, you can install a traditional Web Content Viewer on the remote portal and then configure the Web Content Viewer to retrieve and display content from your Web Content Management system.
- Select content to display in a portlet
Select the content to display in a rendering portlet under the Content section.
- Profiling a rendering portlet
Use the Portlet Profile section to select categories and site areas that can be used as menu search options.
- Defining links between portlets
Use the Links section to enter the details of how you want to receive and broadcast links with other portlets. This determines whether rendering portlets will be aware of the state or context of other portlets.
- Defining access control credentials
Use the Credentials section to define the type of credential to use to control access to a remote rendering portlet.
- Defining other remote portlet settings
Further setting are defined in the Settings section.
