Create an authoring template
Create an authoring template to design a content item form and determine what elements can be included in the form. To open a new authoring template, click New > Design > Authoring Template from the authoring portlet.
- Defining authoring template details You define identification and access control information for the authoring template in the "Authoring Template Setting" view. These are the identification and access control information of the authoring template itself, not the default identification and access control settings for content items based on an authoring template.
- Specifying content form properties Specify the characteristics of the content form generated from the authoring template. This can include how sections are displayed, the sites and site areas where content can be saved, and customized help text for the content form.
- Specifying default content settings You define the default settings for content items in the "Default Content Settings" view of the authoring template form.
