Setting up the ITSOBANK database

The JPA entities are based on the ITSOBANK database. Therefore, we have to define a database connection within Application Developer that the mapping tools use to extract schema information from the database.

Refer to Setting up the ITSOBANK database for instructions on how to create the ITSOBANK database. We can either use the DB2 or Derby database. For simplicity, we use the built-in Derby database in this chapter.
