Change the access password
When we change the access password, we can change it for one, some, or all accounts that are excluded from password sync. Select the accounts for which to change the password.
- From the Identity Service Center home page, click Change Access Password.
- Take one of the following actions:
In the Request Summary, the selected user name is displayed.
- If we are on the Select User page, select the user for whom to change the access password.
- If we are changing the access password for ourself, click Select me in the Quick Select menu.
- View or select your accounts.
- A list of individual accounts up to the maximum search.limit is displayed. The access password change applies to all individual accounts that are excluded from password synchronization. The individual accounts that are not listed are also changed.
- We must select each account to change the access password.
- Complete one of the following options:
- If we want a system to generate a password:
- Ensure Generate a password for me is selected.
- Click Submit.
- To type in the new password:
- Select Allow me to type a password.
- In New password, type a new password.
- In Confirm new password, enter the new password again.
- Click Submit.
- If you clear the Enable password editing option in the administrative console, then the Generate a password for me and Allow me to type a password options are not visible in the Identity Service Center. By default, the system generates the new access password. Click Submit.
- Verify the change access password information and the status of the request.
Request to change the access password is submitted.
Change more access passwords or view the status of the requests that are already submitted.
