Login administration
We can configure system login settings to control the interval at which the password of an account expires. We can configure the number of times that a user can attempt to log in before the account is suspended.

We can configure password settings to force users to regularly change their IBM Security Identity Manager passwords within a specified time period.- Set a maximum number of login attempts
We can set a limit on the number of unsuccessful login attempts that a user can make. We can also suspend accounts that exceed a specified maximum number of login attempts. After the user account is suspended, the user must contact you (the system administrator) or a help desk representative. We can then restore the account and generate or provide a new temporary password for the user.
