Sametime Who Is Here Version 5.02


The Sametime Who Is Here Version 5.02 portlet displays an inline list of people in the page or virtual page with whom the user is able to chat. This portlet can be integrated with People Finder as part of the Collaboration Center, or deployed independently.

Use the Sametime Who Is Here portlet

The Sametime Who Is Here portlet displays information from a Sametime server that is set up to work with WebSphere Portal.

Note Avoid adding Sametime Who Is Here to a page if you think that more than 200 users will regularly visit the page.

 

Portlet security

Users must have the appropriate access to the Sametime server that has been set up for use with Lotus Collaborative Components (LCC). LCC logs the user into Sametime, so a user does not have to enter a name and password.

 

Test assumptions

The Sametime Who Is Here portlet has been tested on and is compatible with all supported WebSphere Portal platforms, as listed in Supported hardware and software .

 

Set up the Sametime Who Is Here portlet

Before you install Sametime Who Is Here, make sure your WebSphere Portal environment meets the following client and server requirements.

Server requirements

The Sametime Who Is Here portlet requires WebSphere Portal Version 5.0 or 5.0.2.

The Sametime Who Is Here portlet displays information from a Sametime 3.0 or 3.1 (3.1 requires WebSphere Portal 5.02) server that is set up to work with the portal. As portal administrator, you specify the Sametime server during the installation of Lotus Collaborative Components.

Note As portal administrator, you are also responsible for restarting the Sametime server and then the portal server if users report seeing the following error in the Sametime Who Is Here portlet:
