Configure IBM HTTP Server (powered by Apache) (V5R1 or V5R2)

To configure a new instance of IBM HTTP Server to communicate with WAS, perform these steps:

  1. Start the *ADMIN server instance
    This step describes how to start the *ADMIN server instance so that you can use the IBM HTTP Server for iSeries configuration and administration forms.

  2. Create a new HTTP server instance.
    Note: If you have an existing instance that you want to use with WAS, skip this step.
    This step describes how to create a new HTTP server instance by using the configuration and administration forms.

  3. Configure the HTTP server instance.
    This step describes how to configure the HTTP server instance so that the HTTP server and WAS can communicate with each other.
