Install the correct cumulative PTF package
WAS for iSeries requires a minimum OS/400 cumulative PTF package level. If the correct cumulative PTF package is not installed on your iSeries server, install it before installing WAS.
Note: The cumulative PTF package requires a restart of your iSeries server. If it is not convenient to restart your server, you can simply load and apply the PTF specifying that the PTFs requiring an IPL be applied at the next normal IPL of the server. However, not install the WAS product until all of the PTFs have been successfully applied.

If the correct cumulative PTF is installed, skip this step and continue to Install WAS on iSeries.
