Determine cumulative PTF package required

To determine the prerequisite cumulative PTF package level for the version of WAS you plan to install, see the PTF pages

From the PTF page, follow these steps:

  1. In the WAS 5.0 row, click the link for your OS/400 release level.

  2. Click the Cumulative PTF Package link to see the minimum cumulative PTF package that is required.

To determine if the correct OS/400 cumulative PTF package is installed on your server, perform the these steps:

  1. Sign onto your server.

  2. Execute Display PTF Status (DSPPTF)

    The Display PTF Status screen is displayed. This screen lists the PTFs that have been applied to your server.

    Here is an example of the Display PTF status screen:

In the example, the first PTF that is listed, TL02036 (with a status of Temporarily applied), correlates to the cumulative PTF that is installed on the server.

You must order and install the prerequisite OS/400 cumulative PTF package before proceeding to the next step in this process.
