Install WAS on iSeries
Use one of these installation methods to install WAS on your iSeries server:
- From the CD-ROM drive of your iSeries server. Installing the product from the CD-ROM drive of your iSeries server requires direct physical access to the server. The local installation requires less time to complete than a remote installation. You start the local installation with either the Qshell SETUP script or the Run Java (RUNJVA) command.
- From the CD-ROM drive of a workstation with a Microsoft Windows 32-bit operating system. Installing the product from the CD-ROM drive of a workstation does not require direct physical access to the iSeries server. The remote installation requires more time to complete than a local installation.
