Deleting a document library
Delete a document library.
Deleting a document library removes the document library from the repository and deletes documents, folder structure, and workflow processes associated with the document library. If you delete a document library, you cannot recover it. To delete a document library, be the creator of the library, or have the Manager role in the library.
Prior to deleting a document library, ensure that no Document Manager portlets are using the document library to be deleted. If any Document Manager portlets are using the document library, set the working library for those portlets to a different document library prior to deletion. If users are editing documents in the document library when you delete it, they experience errors and must log out and log back in to continue. After they log back in, by default they will be using the working document library that you specified prior to deleting the original library. Document Manager allows the deletion of libraries that contain private and submitted drafts.
- Navigate to the Document Libraries portlet.
- Click the Delete icon displayed beside the name of the document library that you want to delete.
- Click OK to confirm the deletion.
