Set access to libraries or folders
Use the Document Libraries portlet to set user access to the content repository, or to a document library or folder.
User access and roles can be assigned on several different levels: in a portal group, on the entire content repository, for a document library, or for a specific folder or document.
Before you can assign user access from either the Document Libraries portlet, or from the main Document Manager page, meet one of the following criteria:
- You must be a member of the Content Administrators group, which is set to wpsContentAdministrators user group by default
- OR -
- You must possess the following authority, or higher:
- User authority on the Portal Content administrative page
- User authority on the Document Libraries portlet
- Administrator role on the content root by selecting Set Access on Root on the Document Libraries page
- User authority on the Resource Permission page and the Resource Permission portlet
- Delegator authority on the User and User Groups resources
- Access to Document Manager resources
