The Plug-ins Installation Wizard is not used for Web servers on OS/400. Instead, install the Web server plugins component in the WebSphere Application Server installation. Additional details are provided in Plug-in scenarios.
WAS products supply a unique binary plug-in module, and associated configuration file, for each supported Web server.
Select one of the following topology scenarios and follow the steps below the diagram to install the plug-in and configure both the Web server and the application server.

The application server and the Web server are on separate machines.
Multiple stand-alone application servers are on one machine, and each application server has a dedicated Web server on a separate machine.
The application server and the Web server are on a single machine.
A local distributed installation includes the Web server plug-in, the Web server, and a managed application server on the same machine:
A managed node and the Web server are on the same machine.
A local distributed installation includes the Web server plug-in, the Web server, and the managed custom node on the same machine:
A deployment manager node and the Web server are on a single machine.
