Changing a parent category

You can change the information for a category, including name, description, images, and parent category.


Procedure

  1. Open the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.

  2. Open the Sales Catalogs page: Select Sales Catalogs.

    • Click Merchandise > Sales Catalogs

    • Click Sales Catalogs > Sales Catalogs

  3. From the list of available sales catalogs, select a catalog which contains a category whose parent category to change and click Design.

  4. From the Target Catalog page, the category tree for the selected sales catalog displays. Highlight the category whose parent category to change and click Change Parent Category.

  5. A message will pop up and ask you to select the new parent category. Click OK for the message and then highlight the new parent category in the category tree.

  6. A confirmation message will be displayed once the parent category has been changed. Click OK.

  7. The category has now been moved under the new parent category.
