Changing the category description


Procedure

  1. Open the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.

  2. Open the category tree for the master catalog:

    • Click Merchandise > Catalog Management

    • Click Products > Catalog Management

  3. Open the Change Category notebook by highlighting the category that to change, and click Change Category.

  4. When you open the notebook, the General page displays. In the Description field, type a description of the category, such as "Summer Fashions. A collection of clothes for all ages. Browse fashions from our Men's, Women's, or Youth's selection.".

  5. To save the changed category description and close the notebook, click OK.


What to do next

If the changes to the catalog data do not display in the store, the Site Administrator might need to disable caching or remove the currently cached JSP pages.
