E-Marketing Spot remote widget and feed flows
To demonstrate e-Marketing Spot remote widgets and feeds, three e-Marketing Spots are configured with a Share link and a Subscribe link. One e-Marketing Spot is on the Home page and the other two are in the right sidebar that displays on multiple pages. In addition, one new store page is added: Share this widget. Note that the Share this widget page is also used for wish list remote widgets.
- Home
The home page helps customers navigate the store by displaying a list of available departments to browse, each containing products.
- Catalog: Overall layout, right sidebar
The overall layout remains consistent throughout the starter stores, and contains five main sections: the header, breadcrumb trail, left sidebar, right sidebar, and footer. The right sidebar contains storewide advertising space and can contain one or more e-Marketing Spots.
When a customer clicks a Share link for a remote widget on a store page, this page provides customers with a widget editor. Customers can change the layout, size, and background color of their widget. After customizing the widget, customers can use features on the page to share the widget to a social network, blog, or another personal Web pages outside of WebSphere Commerce.
