Start and stop WebSphere Commerce Payments
There are several ways to start and stop WebSphere Commerce Payments.
- Start and stop WebSphere Commerce Payments from Configuration Manager
You can start and stop WebSphere Commerce Payments from Configuration Manager.

You can start and stop WebSphere Commerce Payments from a command line.

- Start and stop a WebSphere Commerce Payments application server
WebSphere Commerce Payments can be started and stopped as an application server.
- Check WebSphere Commerce Payments instance password requirements
To check if the WebSphere Commerce Payments instance password is required when starting WebSphere Commerce Payments from a command line:
- Issue the IBMPayServer command
The IBMPayServer command is used to specify the WebSphere Commerce Payments password used to decrypt any sensitive data that is stored in the database.
- Issue the StopIBMPayServer command
The StopIBMPayServer command is not available in the WebSphere Commerce development environment. WebSphere Commerce Payments is integrated into the WebSphere Commerce test environments provided in the WebSphere Commerce development environment. When you stop one of the WebSphere Commerce test environments, WebSphere Commerce Payments is automatically stopped and the StopIBMPayServer command is not required.
