Starting and stopping WebSphere Commerce Payments from Configuration Manager

You can start and stop WebSphere Commerce Payments from Configuration Manager.

To start WebSphere Commerce Payments:

  1. Verify the database management system is started.

  2. Verify the Web server is started. Refer to the Web server documentation for instructions.

  3. Open the Configuration Manager.

  4. In Configuration Manager, under WebSphere Commerce, expand hostname > Payments > Instance List.

  5. Right-click the name of the WebSphere Commerce Payments instance to start or stop and do one of the following steps:

    • To start the WebSphere Commerce Payments instance, select Start Payments Instance from the pop-up menu. After receiving the Instance started successfully dialog box, click OK.

    • To stop the WebSphere Commerce Payments instance, select Stop Payments Instance from the pop-up menu.

If WebSphere Commerce is not already started, you may want to start it after starting WebSphere Commerce Payments. For instructions on starting WebSphere Commerce, refer to the related topic below.

The first time you start an instance, it will take a long time to start. This delay results from the caching of information about Java programs. While the delay can be lengthy, it improves the start-up time in subsequent attempts.
