Changing merchandising associations

You might want to change a merchandising association if you have surplus inventory on a product and want to offer an incentive for customers to purchase it.


Procedure

  1. Open the Catalogs tool.

  2. Browse or search for the catalog entry that contains the merchandising association to change.

  3. Click the Merchandising Associations tab. The merchandising association table displays.

    If you are using the extended sites model, the first table displays merchandising associations for the catalog entry in the catalog asset store.

  4. Click the appropriate fields in the merchandising associations table that to change. You can only change the following fields:

    Option Description
    Sequence The order in which the object is displayed on the storefront. Numbers are displayed in ascending order.
    Association The type of merchandising association: accessory, replacement, up-sell, or cross-sell.
    Quantity The amount of SKUs within the selected catalog entry.
    Semantic The semantic identifier: comes_with, none, requires, or temp. Any custom merchandising association semantics you created will also display. This field is not visible by default.
    Date The date the merchandising association is created. This field is not visible by default.

  5. Click Save and Close, or click Close.
