Back up WebSphere Commerce v5.6.1 or 6.0
Before you proceed with the migration process, perform a complete system backup of the working WebSphere Commerce v5.6.1 or 6.0 system. This backup enables you to recover the previous system in the event that you encounter problems while migrating to WebSphere Commerce v7.0.
Back up the WebSphere Commerce v5.6.1 or 6.0 system according to the operating system documentation or any specialized backup and restore software you are using.
You must back up the database and any additional databases you might require for the system, for example the Payments database. Back up the database in accordance with database backup operational procedures at the site.
