Remove the fix pack from the installation directory interactively
After removing the fix pack from any applicable WCS instances, you can remove the fix pack from the WebSphere Commerce installation directory.
Before you begin
Ensure the following task is completed:
Complete the following steps to uninstall the fix pack from the WebSphere Commerce product directory.
Procedure
- Ensure that you are logged in with a user ID that is a member of the Windows Administration group.
- Log in as the root user. Use one of the following methods:
- Sign on with the root user.
- If you are already signed onto the system, issue the command su - root. Do not use the command su root. This command does not load the root user's profile and environment which is required for fix pack installation.
- Use the command line, navigate to the UPDI_installdir directory and enter one of the following commands:
- ./update.sh
- update.bat
- The WebSphere Commerce Update Installer wizard is launched. Complete the following steps:
- On the Welcome panel, review the information and click Next to continue.
- On the Product Selection panel ensure that the directory name is correct. This is the WebSphere Commerce installation directory.
- Click Next to accept the WebSphere Commerce product found on the computer.
- When prompted, specify the Product Only.
- Select Uninstall Maintenance package. Click Next.
- Select the applicable fix pack file and click Next.
- On the Summary page, review the information. and click Next to begin the uninstall process.
- Verify the installer displays the message: Success:The following maintenance package was uninstalled. If you do not see this message, the installer will indicate which log files to check. Click Finish.
- Check the log files for errors. The log files are located in directory: WC_INSTALL/logs/update.
