Add merchandise to MyApparelSalesCatalog

In this step, we will add the sale merchandise to the SalesActivewear and SalesPants categories. You will add men's and women's active wear and pants catalog entries to the sales catalog categories so that they can be displayed as featured sale items.

To add men's and women's accessories to the MyApparelSalesCatalog sales catalog:

Procedure

1. Select the SalesActivewear category.

2. Click Edit Catalog Entries.

3. You want to add all women's tank tops in the Activewear category, but you do not know the catalog entry codes for these products.

   1. Click Edit Catalog Entries then Find Catalog Entries.

   2. In the find catalog entries pane, enter the following search terms:

      1. In the Name field, enter tank top.

      2. In the Category field, enter Activewear.

      3. Click Find.

   3. Select both products that return, product-sku-nf-1_3_2 and product-sku-nf-2_2_1.

   4. Click Add to Target Category. The message The products have been successfully assigned to the category. displays. Click OK.

4. You also want to add the men's team shirt product to the SalesActivewear category, and you know the catalog entry code is product-sku-nf-1_3_1.

   1. In the catalog entries pane, in the Catalog Entry Code field, enter product-sku-nf-1_3_1.

   2. Click Add Catalog Entry. The message The product has been successfully assigned to the category displays. Click OK.

5. In the catalog entries pane, click Close. The target catalog pane displays. Next to the SaleActivewear category name the number (3) displays indicating that three products are assigned to that category.

6. Select the SalePants category and click Edit Catalog Entries. You want to add two catalog entries for which you know the catalog entry codes.

7. In the catalog entries pane, locate the Catalog Entry Code field. In the Catalog Entry Code field, enter item-sku-nf-34.

8. Click Add Catalog Entry. The message The product has been successfully assigned to the category. displays. Click OK.

9. In the catalog entries pane, locate the Catalog Entry Code field. In the Catalog Entry Code field, enter product-sku-nf-2_3_1.

10. Click Add Catalog Entry. The message The product has been successfully assigned to the category. displays. Click OK.

11. In the catalog entries pane, click Close. The target catalog pane displays. Next to the SalePants category name the number (2) displays indicating that two catalog entries are assigned to that category.

12. Log out and close WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.
