Catalogs tool
The Catalogs tool in WebSphere Commerce v7 includes enhancements to the creation and management of sales catalogs and supports additional search criteria in both the simple and advanced search.
- Assets tool lets you create multiple managed files from a compressed file
You can now create multiple managed files from a compressed file in the Assets tool. Specifically, a managed file is created for each file in the compressed file.
- Automatic SKU generation
Instead of creating SKUs manually, you can generate multiple SKUs for a product at once.
- Catalog upload now available in the Management Center
Business users can now upload catalog data from a CSV file or compressed file into the Catalogs tool. After uploading the catalog data, you can use the Management Center tools to enrich it.
- Installments tool allows you to create and manage installment rules
The Installments tool is the new Management Center tool you can use to create and manage installment rules that support the payment methods for the site.
- Manage parent and child categories
The Catalogs tool now supports a broader combination of parent and child category relationships.
- Merchandising associations can be created for multiple catalog entries at once
Business users can now create multiple merchandising associations for multiple catalog entries.
- Pagination support enabled on the defining attributes and merchandising associations pages
To help manage large search results, pagination control is now enabled on the defining attributes and merchandising association page of a catalog entry.
- Sales catalogs can now be created and managed in the catalog asset store
You can now create, view, update, and delete sales catalogs directly in the catalog asset store when using the extended sites model.
- Simple and advanced search are not case-sensitive
The Catalogs tool now supports simple and advanced searches that are not case-sensitive.
- Simple search now supports multiple keywords with wildcards
The Catalogs tool now supports simple searches using multiple search terms together with the wildcard (*) character.
