Generating SKUs for a product

You can only generate SKUs if there are no SKUs associated with the product.

You must first create attributes and attribute values in the store's default language, followed by any supported languages. If there are no defining attributes for the product, the SKU generation will create a single SKU by copying information from that product.

To generate SKUs for a product:

  1. Find the product that will contain the generated SKUs.

  2. Select a field in the product row. The background for the selected field is highlighted.

  3. If you have not already done so, create the defining attribute values. Return to the main product view.

  4. Again, select a field in the product row, and under the Actions menu, click Generate SKUs.

  5. Once the process is complete, you will receive a successful generation message.

If the changes to the catalog data do not display in the store, the Site Administrator may need to remove the currently cached JSP pages.
