Working with assets in the Catalogs tool
Assets are used in all areas of Web applications. An asset is additional material that you can send in an e-mail, a request, or a detailed product specification. Assets can be images files, text files, or documents. In the Catalogs tool, you can associate files, URLs, or existing attachments with a sales catalog, categories, or catalog entries with a specified usage.About this task
If you use WebSphere Commerce Accelerator to manage any Catalogs tool associated assets, and you are working in the confines of a workspace, any associated assets you have created are not shown in the Catalogs tool until the corresponding workspace task is committed and approved.
- View associated assets
You can view assets that are associated with a sales catalog, category, or catalog entry in the Catalogs tool.- View attachment details
You can view existing attachments that are associated with a sales catalog, category, or catalog entry and the list of files or URLs it contains, all within the Catalogs tool.- Finding and associating assets
You can find and associate assets such as files, URLs or existing attachments to categories, sales catalogs, and catalog entries, all within the Catalogs tool. This enables you to complete activities without switching tools.- Deleting associated assets
