Flow
Objective
To receive price and availability information from distributors
Description
The reseller requests price and availability from distributors, and gets a response back in real time. There is no need to wait for an employee on the distributor's site to respond, since the response is automated.
Features
The reseller can:
- Get a quote on a shopping cart, or get a quick quote on one product
- Select specific distributors to get quotes from
- Get quotes from multiple distributors
- Save quote and come back to it in the future
Customization
This flow may be customized to provide a lead management solution. See the Customization section of the "Shopping for resellers" process for more information on this solution. Note that for this solution, the resellers are now "end customers" and the distributors are now "dealers". To implement, a dealer locator may be integrated into this process. Instead of the end customer being given a list of dealers from which they choose, registration information could be used to determine which dealers they should be dealing with. Alternatively, the end customer could provide a zip or area code to determine the correct dealers. Quotes would then be obtained from those dealers only. The flow would then continue to the "Submit shopping cart" process.
