- Ensure that the IBM Directory Server is installed according to the instructions provided by the provider.
To configure IBM Directory Server...
- Add the following organization Relative Distinguished Name (RDN) to the top of your directory server: o=root organization
- If you choose to use an organization that does not have a parent DN (such as o=root organization), then first create a suffix for that organization, if it does not already exist.
- You can customize this name to match your own settings. For example, you can use dc=domain,dc=ibm,dc=com instead of o=root organization.
- Add the following RDN as a child of the RDN created in step 1: o=default organization
You can customize this name to match your own settings. For example, use cn=users,dc=domain,dc=ibm,dc=com instead of o=default organization,o=root organization.
- Restart the Directory Server.
- Next task: After you have completed configuring your directory server, install Member Manager.
