Work with attachments
Replace or delete the file attachments added to forum threads.
To edit an attachment in a stand-alone forum, we must be the person who uploaded the attachment, or else we must be the forum owner or the Forums administrator. In a community forum, only the community owner or the person who uploaded an attachment can edit the attachment.
Add attachments is a useful way to include supplemental information that is too long for the body of the message.
When creating a discussion topic or respond to it, we can share attachments with other people in the discussion. To delete or replace an attachment, edit the message. We can also upload more attachments as needed.
To work with a file attachment:
- Open the topic containing the attachment.
- Click Edit and complete one of the following steps:
- To replace a file with an updated version, click Replace, click Browse to locate the replacement file, and then click OK.
- To remove a file from the post, click Remove.
- To add another attachment, click Attach a File, click Browse to select the location of the file, and then click OK.
- Click Save to save the changes.
