Work with galleries

The Gallery widget lets you highlight the contents of a Files folder on the Community Overview page. The widget displays thumbnails or file type icons for the files in the folder.

For more information on adding the Gallery widget, see Add widgets to the Community. You must be a community owner to add the Gallery widget to a community.

• Configure a gallery to highlight community files and folders
  The Gallery widget allows community owners to showcase files of any type, such as photos, videos, and office files, on the community overview page. When it is configured, the Gallery is renamed with the folder or community name and displays thumbnail images for the files. We can add more than one Gallery widget to the overview page.

• View thumbnail images of files in the community
  Use the thumbnail file view to view images of files, such as a photo, a video, or the first page of an office file. Hover over a thumbnail image to find available actions such as download or preview.

• Organize media gallery files into folders and leveraging Files features
  Put Media Gallery files in community folders and showcase files in the Gallery widget. The Files widget is improved to include features previously only available in the Media Gallery. Also, Files provides functionality that was not included in the Media Gallery such as folders and the ability to upload multiple files at one time.
