Listing users and groups in topic roles

Service integration bus security uses role-based authorization. When messaging security is enabled, users and groups require authority to access topics in a publish/subscribe topic hierarchy. By listing the users and groups that are members of topic roles for a selected topic, we can find out who has authority to send messages to and from the topic.

In this task you use the console to list users and groups that have access roles for a selected topic in a selected topic space. The list includes users, groups and group members that have references in the role-based security configuration for service integration. It does not list all the users and groups that exist in the external user repository.

  1. Log into the console.

  2. Click Service integration -> Buses -> security_value -> [Authorization Policy] Manage topic access roles -> topic_space_name > topic_name. The Topics panel displays the information for the topic in a collapsed section.

  3. Expand the section header to display the users and groups assigned to role types for the selected topic.

What to do next

We can add and remove users and groups in the topic roles for the selected topic.
