Manage the UDDI registry

Use either the WAS admin console or the Java Management Extensions (JMX) management interface to manage UDDI Registries.

In previous versions of WAS and the UDDI registry, you used a properties file to manage the UDDI registry. In WAS Version 6 and later, you manage all the policies and properties of the UDDI registry through either the JMX management interface or the admin console.

Use JMX to monitor and configure UDDI registries programmatically, which is explained in Use admin programs (JMX). See UDDI registry Administrative (JMX) Interface for details of using the UDDI admin interface. To manage UDDI registries using the WAS admin console, start from the UDDI link in the navigation pane of the admin console. Using the UDDI management functions available in the WAS admin console, we can perform the following operations:

If WAS security is enabled, log in to the WebSphere Administrative Console, supplying a valid user ID and password, to use the UDDI management functions.
