Set up annotations
This topic lists the steps we need to take to set up annotations for a project.
Setting up the sample application automatically sets up annotations for the project. Follow these steps to configure annotations for a project of your own.
- Create and deploy a WebSphere Portlet Factory project.
The following feature set is required for annotations:
WebSphere Dashboard Framework
- Dashboard Framework
To add alerting to annotations, also include these feature sets: Dojo Ajax
- Dojo Extension
WebSphere Dashboard Framework
- Alerts Module
- Create models in the project and add annotations.
- If you added the alerting feature sets to the project, create another project for the Alerts Scheduler feature set.
- Select and configure a persistence manager.
- If you selected a database persistence manager, set up the database. (A Cloudscape database is not supported.)
- Override default configuration properties.
- Configure pages to launch as portlets on the server.
- To enable alerting for annotations, modify the predefined annotation alert definition.
- Test your configuration settings.
