Featured usage tips
When you find a topic using the search, click this button on your information center border to see the location of the topic in the table of contents.
Use the dialog to limit your search to a specific subset of documentation installed in the information center. The search resets its scope to all documentation when you exit the Advanced search dialog.
One minute tour of your information center border
Take a minute to notice the buttons along the border of your information center. The appearance and placement of the buttons can vary, depending on your version of the information center. Button descriptions are available by holding your cursor over the button momentarily.
Buttons to your left
How can I locate a topic in the table of contents, once I find it using the search?
When you find a topic using the search, click this button on your information center border to see the location of that same topic in the table of contents.
When I perform a search, the results replace my table of contents. How do I return to my table of contents?
These buttons enable you to toggle between displaying the table of contents and your search results, in the navigation area. They are located at the bottom of the navigation area.
Buttons to your right
How do I return to a topic that I viewed previously during this session?
Like your browser buttons, these navigate you backward and forward through the history of topics you viewed.
This button serves the same purpose as this button:
Is there a printing shortcut?
The Print Topic button prints the topic currently displayed.
