Migration considerations

 

If an earlier version of WebSphere MQ (previously known as MQSeries) is installed on the machine:

• Ensure that no queue managers are running and that the IBM WebSphere MQ Service is stopped. (To stop the WebSphere MQ Service, right-click on the WebSphere MQ icon in the task bar, then click Stop IBM WebSphere MQ).

• If an earlier version of WebSphere MQ is already installed on the machine, back up your system before you install WebSphere MQ for Windows, V6.0.

• Upgrading your operating system
  

• Migrating from Windows NT
  

• .INI file configuration information
