Database user registry
WebSphere Portal and WebSphere Application Server require a user registry. Any of the following supported user registries can be used:
- Database user registry
- LDAP without realm support
- LDAP with realm support
- Custom user registry
You can configure WebSphere Portal to use a database user to store user information and to authenticate users. This section discusses the issues to consider and the procedures to follow if you plan to use a database user registry as the WebSphere Application Server security type or a custom user registry with WebSphere Portal.
