Set up the Collaboration Center
After you have confirmed installation of the Collaboration Center components, set them up to work with each other, the Domino and Extended Product servers that the portlets use, and with the portal.
If your portal has no Domino and Extended Products servers configured, see Getting started with collaboration under See also.
Checklist of tasks for setting up the Collaboration Center
Set up the Collaboration Center consists of the following tasks:
- Install or confirming installation and configuration of all required Domino and Extended products, servers, and a user directory for collaborative portlets. See Planning for collaboration, and verify all tasks necessary to integration of the portal with Domino and Extended products that you will be using have been performed.
- Determining whether the default server connections for the portlets on the Collaboration Center pages are working as desired, and if not, adjusting the configuration for back-end servers.
- If necessary, removing portlets unused by your portal environment.
- If necessary, using the People Finder portlet configuration mode to modify its default field specification to remove fields unused by your portal's LDAP directory.
- Set up awareness and chat for the Domino Web Access portlet.
- Performing tasks listed in Prerequisites sections for the Lotus My Team Workplaces and Lotus Web Conferencing portlets.
