Housekeeping

Some administrative tasks should be periodically run on a live server to release resources that are not being used. The tasks required include:

• Removing expired items from a cache.
• Initiating and monitoring Syndication.

The IWWCM application will perform these tasks automatically. Editing the IWWCM Configuration file can change how often these tasks are performed. These tasks can also be performed manually through the IWWCM Administration interface.

 

Site Administrator

Each of these functions requires Administrator privileges. For any of these functions to be called, the user of the current session must be an IWWCM administrator.
