Cache Manager

The Cache Manager can be useful if there is a suspicion that some cached data may be interfering with the normal viewing of a page. Individual items can be selected and removed from the Cache. The following Caches can be managed:

Cache Managed With...
Data Cache Module Cache Manager
Basic Web Content Cache Web Processing Cache Manager
Advanced Web Content Cache Content Cache Manager
Processing Cache Site Cache Manager

The Processing Cache caches data at the various stages of a Web Page being processed by the Web Content Management application when the Advanced Web Content Cache is enabled.

 

Viewing Items in a Cache

  1. Click Module Cache Manager, Web Processing Cache Manager, Content Cache Manager, or Site Cache Manager to view the Disc and Memory Cache.

  2. Click on Disc Cache or Memory Cache

  3. The content of either cache is displayed...

    Entries Displays the name and type of item in the cache.
    Delete Marks cache items for deletion.
    Expiry Date Displays the Expiry date of the cached item.
    Last Access Displays when the cached item was last accessed.

 

Delete Items from Cache

  • To delete an item from the cache, select the item's Delete check box
  • Then click Delete Checked Items
  • Any selected cache items will be deleted.

 

Flushing the Cache

  • To Flush the Cache, click on Flush Entire Cache
  • This deletes all items in the cache.
