Common Fields - Workflow

This section of the form is visible if Workflowing has been enabled for an Item type. It is used to select a Workflow, display which Workflow Stage the item currently is in, enter Published and Expiry dates and add additional readers on the "live" site.

Document Status Displays the current Document status: Draft or Published.
Workflow The button opens a dialog that is used to choose which Workflow you would like to use with this item.
Note: Deselecting a Workflow

To deselect a Workflow, click Workflow, then click on the None button in the dialog box:

Current Workflow Stage This section displays the current Workflow Stage as the item moves through a Workflow.
Next Workflow Stage Displays the name of the Workflow Stage that follows the current Workflow Stage.
Publish Date Select the date you would like the item to be available on the "live" site.
Expiry Date Select the Date you would like the item to "Expire" on, i.e., no longer be available on the "live" site.

These dates can be used when building custom actions to perform scheduled tasks not based on Published or expired dates.
Additional Viewers when Published Access to published Items can be restricted to certain Users or Groups. This field allows you to select additional users to those already specified as having "Live" access to the published item.
Joint Approval Indicates whether Joint Approval is required for the Stage the item is currently in. (Read only.) Joint approval is used in cases where approval from multiple users is required before moving the document to the next stage. If joint approval is active, then all the approvers specified for this stage must approve the document.
Actions Each stage contains sets of actions; those that are executing when entering the stage and those executed when exiting the stage. The exit actions are restricted to non-scheduled actions, since they must be executed immediately. This section displays any actions to be performed during a stage.
