Removing wires

You can remove wires between portlets on a portal page, even if the portlet project(s) that contain the source and target portlets are not in your workspace.

Note: Be careful when removing wires from portlets whose portlet projects do not exist in the workspace, because you cannot re-add those wires if the portlet projects are not in the workspace.

To remove wires from a portal page, follow these steps:

  1. Open the portal project's Portal Configuration file.

  2. Ensure the page that contains the wires is selected in the Portal Configuration.

  3. Open the Properties view and select the

    Wires tab. The

Wires page in the Properties view shows any existing wires in the page.

  4. Select the wire that you want to remove from the

    Wires table, and click

Remove. The entry is removed from the table.

  5. Save the Portal Configuration.

Note: If you remove the page, portlet, or row or column that contains the portlet from the Portal Configuration, any associated wires will also be removed from the portal project. You will not receive a warning message. However, if you undo the deletion, the wire will be restored.
