Typical installation: creating the user for the product
During the installation, you are asked to enter the user name and password for the user for the product. This is a Windows user, used for the following tasks:
- Logging in to and using the WAS administrative console.
- Logging in to and using the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics Managing Server Visualization Engine. (While the Visualization Engine has a user management system of its own, the default user has the same user name and password as the product user).
You can choose one of the options:
- Use the installation user as the user for the product. See Create the installation user.
- Create a user for the product at this time. Perform the same steps as creating the installation user. (See Create the installation user.)
