Install packages from Passport Advantage
Overview
You can install, update, modify, roll back, or uninstall packages using repositories from IBM Passport Advantage.
Before you can install a package from Passport Advantage, you must have a Passport Advantage account and be entitled to the package. See Contacting IBM Software Support for information about Passport Advantage.
Passport Advantage contains package repositories. Instead of downloading the packages from Passport Advantage and creating a repository locally, you can access the repository located on Passport Advantage.
Install a package using installation files from Passport Advantage
- Set the Passport Advantage preference to connect to Passport Advantage. See Set Passport Advantage preferences for information about setting a connection and saving credentials.
- Click Install in IBM Installation Manager.
Results
The Install page of Installation Manager opens. A list of packages found by Installation Manager are shown. Installation Manager shows only the packages that you are entitled for from the Passport Advantage repository. To continue the installation process, following the steps provided in the Procedure section in Install packages .
To update, modify, roll back or uninstall a package, click Update, Modify, Roll Back, or Uninstall in Installation Manager.
